MLB Clubs & Stadiums Across the League Update Beer Menus & Signage
to Remove “Domestic” and Add American
March 26, 2025 – St. Louis, MO – Last month’s letter from Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth sparked an industry wide movement to replace the word “domestic” with American on beer menus and signage. To date, hundreds of bars, restaurants, entertainment venues and retail stores now proudly describe beers brewed in the U.S. as American, paying tribute to the pride and commitment shared by members of the American beer industry.
Now a growing list of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams across the country will celebrate American beer at their stadiums starting on Opening Day: March 27. Starting with the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, and the Cincinnati Reds -- who play at the Great American Ball Park -- 10 MLB teams from coast to coast, with more to come, will update their stadium menus and signage to recognize American beer and the hardworking Americans who bring these high-quality products to life.
As Opening Day approaches, Anheuser-Busch remains at the forefront of the beer industry, driving growth and innovation while honoring the rich heritage of American brewing and manufacturing. As fans fill MLB stadiums this season, they will do so with a renewed sense of pride, savoring the singular American experience of enjoying an American beer at a baseball game.
