It’s no surprise that Nugget hops take center stage, adding dank notes of pine and grapefruit. Simcoe lends hints of ripe mango and creamsicle, and the assertive hop character is balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.
With its beautiful orange color, big hop flavor and 7.5% ABV, Nugget Nectar provides plenty of warmth on the dark, cold winter nights ahead.
To commemorate the iconic beer’s 21st birthday, the independent, family-owned brewery will release Nugget Nectar in special limited-edition packaging featuring its previous label art, which has long been a favorite among Tröegs fans.
To add to the festivities, Tröegs will host Nugget Weekend, a 4-day celebration of all things Nugget Nectar, at its Hershey-based brewery from Thursday, January 16 through Sunday, January 19.
In addition to Nugget Nectar, Tröegs will preview an early draft-only release of Double Nugget Nectar, an amped-up 9.5% ABV version of the original, as well as Nitro Nugget, an incredibly smooth and creamy version carbonated with nitrogen, at the brewery.
On Friday, January 17, visitors can book a spot for an exclusive Chef’s Dinner featuring an open bar and a multi-course menu inspired by Nugget Nectar. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at http://troegs.com/tours.
All weekend long, the Snack Bar will serve up Alligator Nuggets tossed in apricot chili sauce. Other happenings include a special Nugget firkin tapping on Friday, vinyl DJs His & Hers Music on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. while supplies last.
Fans can find “21 Years of Nugget Nectar” events across the brewery’s distribution footprint with fresh Nugget Nectar on tap and select celebrations featuring Double Nugget and Nitro Nugget.
Nugget Nectar is available on draft, in 12-oz. cans and bottles, and in 16-oz. cans everywhere Tröegs beer is sold.
