Great Lakes Brewing Co. Releases Limited Barrel Aged Blackout Stout

From Great Lakes:

Beloved Imperial Stout returns to 4-Pack 16 oz. Cans for a limited time

CLEVELAND, OH Dec. 3, 2024 – Great Lakes® Brewing Co. (GLBC) announces the return of seasonal Barrel Aged Blackout Stout, available now throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint in 16 oz. Can 4-Packs for a limited time.   zzubreebym

Named for the infamous 2003 blackout that hit the Northeast United States, the Barrel Aged version of this limited edition Imperial Stout spends eight months in bourbon barrels, and clocks in at 12.5% alcohol by volume.

The longest tenured star of GLBC’s barrel aging program, Barrel Aged Blackout Stout is a fan favorite with a bold roasted character and rich complex flavor. This is Blackout Stout’s second 2024 appearance in GLBC’s portfolio: the brewery released a small-batch Vanilla Blackout Stout variant earlier this year in Northeast Ohio to commemorate April’s total eclipse. The brewery plans to continue brewing Blackout Stout, and innovating with barrel aging and flavor variants in 2025.

Customers can find Barrel Aged Blackout Stout in 4-Pack 16 oz. Cans with artwork by illustrator Sam Hadley beginning this week throughout GLBC’s distribution footprint, just in time for holiday gift giving and sipping.
