Coors Light Buys a Round of Beer For Pittsburgh

After Pittsburgh’s quarterback called “Coors Light, Coors Light” at the line of scrimmage last week, the beer brand took over Pittsburgh for last night’s football game.

Coors Light is bringing chill to football fans through:

  • LTO Cans: Commemorative “Coors Light, Coors Light” cans so you can make the call for yourself, available for $19.33 to mark the year Pittsburgh’s professional football team was founded.

  • Beer on Coors Light: A round of beer on them available via the Coors Light Instagram. To enter, fans can either repost our “Coors Light, Coors Light” image to their feed or post a short original video making the “Coors Light, Coors Light” football call with #coorslightcoorslight #sweepstakes and tagging @ coorslight.

  • NEW OOH: A surprise takeover of signage outside the stadium with new out-of-home “Coors Light, Coors Light” ads.

  • NEW TV Spot: A refreshed television commercial that alludes to the “Coors Light, Coors Light” call that ran during the game for the first time.

A quote from Coors Light’s VP of Marketing, Marcelo Proenca Pascoa,

“We know people love Coors Light but it’s not exactly common that you see that love used on the football field in a quarterback’s playbook,” said Marcelo Proenca Pascoa, vice president of marketing, Coors Family of Brands. “After hearing that call last week, we knew we had to go on the offense with our own team. Fortunately we have fast, smart partners at Droga5 and Rethink who collaborated together to make the most of the moment and to bring some unexpected chill to Pittsburgh fans near stadium, on TV, and online.”
