Director of Brewery Operations Ryan Crisp and Head Brewer Anthony Chen, a certified pommelier, leads the cider production, ensuring each batch meets AleSmith’s high standards of quality and sophistication. This Traditional Dry Apple Cider honors classic cider-making techniques, delivering a crisp and refreshing profile that will appeal to cider enthusiasts looking for authentic flavors.
In time for National Cider Month in October, cans of AleSmith Traditional Dry Apple Cider are beginning to hit shelves and taps throughout California and the rest of the AleSmith full distribution footprint soon.
“With our Traditional Dry Apple Cider, we’re not just responding to changing consumer preferences—we’re excited to offer a refreshing alternative in the beverage market,” said Brandon Richards, President of AleSmith Brewing Company. “Craftsmanship and quality are at the heart of this new venture.”
The addition of cider aligns perfectly with the growing trend of consumers exploring diverse beverage options. By introducing cider, AleSmith enhances its offerings, creates more tap handle opportunities, and meets the demand for variety.
Since early 2024, AleSmith has been developing its cider program at the Miramar facility, following recent licensing changes that permit wine and cider production. The Tasting Room has already embraced cider as a top draft option, reflecting its growing popularity among patrons.
Kristen Ballinger, Marketing Manager at AleSmith, stated, “Expanding into the cider market is a natural evolution for AleSmith. Our established reputation in craft brewing and our understanding of local tastes position us perfectly to introduce this high-quality cider. As we’re seeing more people gravitate toward higher ABV options, we will also be adding an Imperial version of our new hard cider in early 2025.”
The Traditional Dry Cider is now available on draft and in 16oz 4-pack cans. Looking ahead, AleSmith plans to release an Imperial version in early 2025, available in both cans and on draft, further expanding their cider offerings.
