Surly & Revolution Brewing Collaborate On Darkness Day MMXXIV

This morning I have your first peek at a new Darkness Day collaboration coming from Surly Brewing in Brooklyn Center & Minneapolis, MN.

This is Darkness Day MMXXIV and it will be a collaboration with Chicago’s Revolution Brewing. The beer will be a Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout aged on French oak that hits 12%-AbV and this 2024 beer will be packaged in 750ml bottles with artwork by Susan Evans. Stay tuned for release details.  zzubreebym

This 29 Aug 2024 Update from Surly:

Earlier this year, we announced Revolution and TRVE as our two collaborators on this year's Darkness with Friends variants. We hosted both this summer to taste through a number of options before landing on these two. Drumroll please:

Darkness with Friends: Revolution--Darkness aged in bourbon barrels with single-origin French oak.

Darkness with Friends: TRVE--Darkness aged in bourbon barrels with raspberry, pistachios, and sea salt.

Both these variants are available in our EVIL and DECADENT presale bottle packages, which are available as you read this. Those packages both sold out before Darkness Day last year, so if you want to make sure you get them, smash that big red button.
