Dogfish Head: Not to TIP you off … but we have the best fans out there

Did you know that each and every tip left at our Milton Brewery gets donated? Yep … every. single. cent. And because we have the most amazing  fans and friends out there, we’ve been able to donate an incredible amount to support some fantastic organizations.

Through our Beer & Benevolence program, we team up with different non-profit organizations each month to be benefactors for our Benevolence Tips in Milton. Some months have more than one benefactor, others follow a complementary event, but one thing remains the same … the organizations we have the opportunity to work with positively impact our communities each and every day.

In 2024 so far, we’ve had the pleasure of supporting thirteen organizations whose missions range from championing the arts, to protecting native habitats and land, to building up our communities inclusive of everyone. With deep roots in coastal Delaware, this is our way of giving back to the community that has helped us nourish those roots. We’re proud to play a small part with all the good taking place in our slight but mighty state.

Just this year, we’ve worked with the Milton Theatre, Milton Historical Society, Milton Community Foundation, Milton Arts Guild, Delaware State Parks, Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park, The Nature Conservancy, Nanticoke River Watershed Conservancy, Milton Garden Club, Lewes in Bloom, Rehoboth in Bloom, CAMP Rehoboth and Opera Delaware. And because of the awe-inspiring  generosity of each and every one of YOU that’s left a tip, we’ve been able to donate nearly $107,000 in just six months!

But the year’s just getting started! We have another dozen partnerships coming up through the second half of the year. For July, we’re collaborating with two amazing coalitions that are nourishing artistic advances in our community – Developing Artist Collaboration and Rehoboth Art League. Both of these organizations have fostered a community for local artists of all levels and mediums to have a space create and alongside a platform to share their work.

For the remainder of the year, we’ll be supporting:

  • November: Stay tuned …

So come on out and show some love for the wonderful organizations working day in and day out to lift up our local communities. And to those who have donated already, we can’t thank you enough for helping us give back. Together we are heavy.
