This 22 May 2024 update from Boulevard:
Introducing:
Imperial Sour Ale with Peach Rings & Chamoy
Chamoy /ˌt͡ʃamoi/ Spanish pronunciation: [t͡ʃaˈmoi̯] is a variety of savory sauces and condiments in Mexican cuisine made from pickled fruit.
In the case of our newest Brewhouse One creation, “Chamoy” means delicious homemade mango Chamoy straight from Carmona’s Chamoy, our local ingredient partners!
This unique creation, brewed using 50 pounds (!!) of Chamoy-coated Peach Rings then topped with extra fresh peach juice, is lightly tart, savory, and slightly spicy with an underlying smoky chili flavor. For those unsure about sours, have no fear! This delightfully approachable ale has just enough punch to cut through the sweetness…perfect for brunch on a patio, takeout tacos in the sun, or a family barbeque. All in all, this beer is a banger.
From Boulevard Innovation Brewer, Greg Garrity: “I would just like to thank anyone who supports beers like this in any way. Whether that’s by buying a 4 pack or a pour at the bar. Beers like this are few and far between and they’re genuine expressions of creativity between two different passions. To have these kinds of beers resonate with people is what keeps us brewers going. Oh, and please check out Carmona’s Chamoy! They are great people making great products.”
This lip-smacking beer will be available Friday, May 24 at noon, ONLY in the Tours & Rec Center. 4 packs are priced at $24.99.
