Rochester Hills, MI – 1/12/2024 – Griffin Claw is thrilled to announce a collaboration that brews more than just great beer; it brews inclusivity, unity, and a message of welcome for all.
A Symbolic Brew Day On Monday, January 8th, 2024, the teams from Griffin Claw, Griffin Claw Clubhouse, and Lumen came together to craft a unique beer that symbolizes their commitment to diversity and inclusivity. This symbolic brew day united the staff from both companies, including Lumen staff, Griffin Claw, and Griffin Claw Clubhouse staff, as well as brewery and production teams. It was a day of camaraderie and shared purpose.
Purpose An opportunity to learn the different roles shared between brewery and taproom, and to learn from each other.
Crafting Unity in a Glass The chosen beer style, a Lager, was selected with the intention of creating a beer that would appeal to a wide range of palates and foster connections among people from all walks of life. This beer is not just about its ingredients; it's about unity and bridging the gap between people. Beer has always been a gathering drink, meant to bring people together.
Charitable Contributions Griffin Claw has committed to making a donation to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit.
A Message of Welcome The collaboration is more than just a brewing endeavor; it is a statement of welcome. It sends a clear message that craft beer is open to everyone, regardless of their background, ethnicity, age, or any other characteristic. It's a reminder that diversity is not just respected but celebrated.
“Word of the Day is humans, no matter how old you are, color your skin, your background, you’re still a human at the end of the day. Hopefully this beer and this message is a step in the right direction to show you that you’re loved, you’re respected, and you’re more than welcome to come try Return of the Mack and come visit your extended family at Griffin Claw Brewing Company”, said Javon Castillo, who came up with this initiative at Griffin Claw.
"We try to be inclusive - always - period, but it's really cool to have our taproom staff get a hands on look at what goes on in the back of the brewery, learn more about the products they are serving, and for everyone to learn more about each other as humans at Griffin Claw", added Scott LePage, Managing Partner of Griffin Claw.
