Prairie Artisan Ales Wrapping Up 2023 And Planning 2024

2023, WRAPPED.

Ladies and gents — this is the final Catfish Chronicle of 2023. Time is a flat circle.

For the last newsletter of the year, I have decided to recap some of the dope stuff that happened this year at PAA.

Major projects:

  • We completed the installation of a massive tunnel pasteurizer in McAlester. It’s a big deal.

  • We overhauled our website and added the BeerFinder in 2023.

  • We selected a new font for the newsletter. We used to use Helvetica… (ugh, I KNOW. I’m disgusted too.)

  • We added a pickleball court to the Prairie OKC Taproom. How fun!

LOTS OF BEER.

YOU, our beautiful customers, drank about 9.1 beers per minute in 2023. That’s about one beer every 6.5 seconds. Y’all thirsty as hell.

Big milestones for us this year in distribution:

  • We added distribution in Mississippi! #HottyToddy

  • We also ended distribution hiatuses (hiatii?) in Iowa, Washington, and Idaho. WE’RE OFFICIALLY BACK IN IOWA, WASHINGTON, AND IDAHO.

  • Also Korea. We’re back in Korea! (South Korea). Shoutout to South Korea!

This was ALSO the best year ever for the Prairie OKC taproom. Can’t thank y’all enough for the incredible support of our taproom over the year, and shoutout to our brewers and bartenders for producing A+ liquid and A+ service!

NEW BEER FRIDAY.

We’re open normal hours on New Year’s Eve (11AM-10PM).

We’re closed on New Year’s Day.

THREE BEERS NEW TO THE MENU THIS WEEK IN OKC

  • I’LL START IN FEBRUARY: Sour Ale with blackberry, pistachios, white chocolate, graham cracker, and vanilla.

  • EURO PILS: European Pilsner with Saphir and EKG hops.

  • BOURBON BARREL DOUBLE PARADISE: Imperial Stout with all of the coconut and all the vanilla.

Lookin’ forward to bringing you some GREAT new beers in 2024!

In the next edition of the Catfish Chronicle we’ll talk about PINK GUAVA COLADA and MINT CONDISH, which’ll start hitting shelves NEXT WEEK.
