B. R. DISTILLING FORGES LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP WITH KENTUCKY’S 10TH OLDEST DISTILLERY

Partnership Fuels Facility Expansion and Jobs Growth

MEMPHIS, TN : B.R. Distilling Company, Memphis’ oldest licensed distillery and producer of Blue Note Bourbon, announced today that it entered into significant long-term distillation contracts with Bardstown Bourbon Company, parent company of Green River Distilling Company. This contract expands and extends the relationship between the companies which dates to 2017. As a direct result, the company is more than tripling the size of its production and storage facilities in Memphis.
“Bardstown Bourbon has distilled for some of the best brands in the world and we are thrilled to partner with a team that is passionate about making great whiskey in an open and trustworthy fashion. We will benefit from their team’s decades of distillation experience and facilities, as well as the famous limestone waters of Kentucky, to ensure the distinctive taste our customers have come to expect from Blue Note Bourbon,” noted Logan Welk President and COO, B.R. Distilling. “Following production at the 10th oldest distillery in Kentucky dating from 1885, these barrels journey from the heart of the Bluegrass state to the vibrant birthplace of the Blues. There, through meticulous aging between the banks of the Mississippi and Wolf rivers and through the infusion of the nation’s purest water, Blue Note Bourbon reaches its peak perfection and is ready for bourbon enthusiasts nationwide,” he added.
Located at 802 Royal Avenue, in the New Chicago neighborhood of North Memphis, the company will expand from its current 30,000 square feet to more than 110,000 square feet to meet the increasing demand for its products. In addition, the company plans to add more than a dozen jobs across a variety of roles through 2024, offering competitive starting pay, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
“All of us at B.R. Distilling are excited at the continued demand growth for our products and the subsequent impact this will have on our hometown as we make significant site improvements, and work to revitalize an area that has long been a victim of blight and neglect,” said Rob DelPriore, Chairman, B.R. Distilling. “We opened our Tasting Room this spring and have hosted people from around the world as they seek out our distinctive group of bourbons. We want to ensure a positive experience for these guests to our City and recognize the importance of the revitalization of this neighborhood,” added Welk.
B. R. Distilling anticipates this being the first step in a much larger expansion of its production, storage, and retail campus. Site selection and due diligence on the broader campus expansion has already begun.
This first phase of the expansion is expected to be completed by early 2024.
