Craft Beer Dinners Relaunching in Napa this Spring at Kitchen Door

NAPA, CA -Kitchen Door is pleased to announce the re-launch of its famous beer dinners in a three-part seasonal series, offering guests an exciting and delicious way to pair fine local cuisine with some of the best regional craft brews.

Kitchen Door has long carried a list of impressive beers and ciders on its menu, in addition to a thoughtful selection of local and international wines, spirits and cocktails. With this dinner series, the restaurant hopes to highlight beer’s ability to go with a wide selection of both comfort and gourmet foods.

“There's such a diversity of flavors in beer," said Chef/Owner Todd Humphries. "These beer dinners give us the opportunity to go beyond our everyday menu and get creative as chefs to find inspired dishes to compliment the various beers we feature."

The beer dinners will feature new and exciting bites and entrees that highlight the bounty of the seasons as paired with these exciting beers, allowing Humphries and his team to explore and expand beyond the culinary inspirations usually featured at Kitchen Door.

Kitchen Door has been called “Napa’s most eclectic restaurant and a longtime local’s favorite.” It moved from its decade-long post at the Oxbow Public Market to Napa’s dynamic First Street Napa development earlier this year, offering a full bar for the first time. Signature dishes include Korean-Style Ribs, with bacon and mushroom fried rice, as well as Akaushi New York strip steak and fries, a selection of flatbreads, and chicken wings.

The first event will take place on April 26 and feature Henhouse Brewing, which has tap houses in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Fairfax. Henhouse’s creative selection of beers includes the Gorilla Coop Hazy Pale Ale, Live and Let Polyhedron Double IPA, and Big Chicken Double IPA. The brewery’s mission includes not only improving beer quality but creating meaningful employment and wealth for its community through its beers. Its latest release is called Science Reasons IPA; Henhouse also makes a highly sought-after Traditional Saison.

On July 19, Tannery Bend Beerworks of Napa will bring its own lovely line-up of Saisons and IPAs to Kitchen Door for a memorable evening of summer fare and merriment. Tannery Bend Beerworks opened in Napa in 2017 and makes small-batch beers inspired by local ingredients, born from a collaboration between brewing and culinary minds, the perfect partner for a beer pairing dinner, and has its own food program.

In addition to the exciting lineup of beers at Tannery Bend Beerworks, the summer beer dinner will feature a unique creation from Kitchen Door bartender and professional brewer, Michael Paine. With a wealth of experience gained from his time at Beach Chalet, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, and Napa Smith, Paine is a true master of his craft. Paine has been working closely with the talented team at Tannery Bend Beerworks to create a one-of-a-kind brew that will be unveiled for the first time at the summer beer dinner.

The Spring and Summer beer dinners will offer five courses with five beers and cost $85 per person. To purchase tickets and for more information, please email heather@kitchendoornapa.com or call 707-226-1560.

To round out the craft beer celebrations, mark your calendars and get ready to raise a stein to good times at the upcoming Fall Oktoberfest daylong celebration on September 30th. This highly anticipated event promises to be a fun-filled day of beer, merriment, and surprises for all those in attendance.
