Eight Oaks awarded gold for their rye whiskey, along with three silvers and a bronze for other spirits
New Tripoli, PA August 15, 2022,—Eight Oaks Farm Distillery took home the first Gold Medal for their Straight Penna Rye Whiskey at the American Craft Spirits Association’s latest conference, along with silver medals for their Pinot Bourbon, Port Rye Whiskey, and Authentic Applejack, and a bronze medal for their Aged Applejack. zzubreebym
According to Founder & CEO, Chad Butters, “It’s always nice to get recognized with an award for your work, however, there’s something special about your peers telling you that your work is exceptional. That's why these ACSA awards are so meaningful to us. They’re from folks in our industry who understand the work we do, and who appreciate a quality spirit.”
Butters continued, “We are especially excited to earn the gold medal for our Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey! We grow all our own grains right here in the Lehigh Valley, with the help of our friends at Newhard’s Farms, and are completely committed to making the best whiskey from scratch because to us, and to others, that makes a difference.”
When talking specifically about the Gold Medal for Rye Whiskey, Director of Distillery Ops and Head Distiller, Caitlin Fenstermacher said, “It feels like I’ve watched this whiskey grow up. From milling and mashing a few years back, to blending and bottling, and now seeing a gold medal sit beside the bottle brings such an overwhelming feeling of dedication, accomplishment, and heart. I couldn’t be more proud of our line up and this gold sets the standards for the rest of our portfolio–we are hungry for more.
