Portland Cider Packs a Prickly Punch With Latest Year-round Release

From Portland Cider:

CLACKAMAS, OR —June 22, 2022 Portland Cider Co. has added a new selection to its lineup of year-round core cider offerings with Prickly Punch, a fruit-forward cider with a juicy, tart finish.  zzubreebym

The brilliant pink fruit of the prickly pear cactus lends a smooth, sweet, melon-like flavor that pairs beautifully with the Northwest-grown apples, while layers of orange, guava and strawberry add bright, tropical notes. This blend results in a juicy, tangy cider that’s reminiscent of gummy bears. The combined fruit juices lend the cider a deep, vibrant jewel color.

“This cider is well-suited to kick off summertime, because every sip is like a sweet, luscious, tropical getaway,” said Helen Lewis, Portland Cider Co.’s marketing director. “And as a year-round offering, it’s the perfect pick-me-up for a rainy day.”

Attendees of the recent Portland Cider Summit got a sneak preview of this new release, and the company’s Portland Cider Club subscribers were the first to get their hands on these cans. 12-ounce six-packs and 19.2-ounce “Proper Pint” cans of Prickly Punch are now available on the shelves of select retailers throughout Oregon, Washington, Northern California and Colorado.
