Dallas, TX (March 2022) – Lakewood Brewing has announced the return of French Toast Temptress to its wildly popular Seduction Series as well as Big-D Double IPA, the permanent iteration of its popular Big D IPA rotating series.
Lakewood’s Seduction Series takes the North Texas brewery’s best-selling Temptress Imperial Milk Stout and infuses it with different flavors. Past iterations have included Peanut Butter Temptress, Salted Caramel Temptress, and Coconut Temptress.
“What’s for breakfast?” joked Wim Bens, Founder and President. “This time of year calls for a decadent beer and French Toast Temptress checks all the boxes. FTT, as we call it, starts with Temptress and adds an extra boost of vanilla with lots of Grade-A Maple Syrup and a hint of cinnamon. It’s a real eye-opener!”
For its Big-D Double, Lakewood uses copious amounts of a unique blend of hops, imparting big West Coast IPA hop character with a punch of tropical aroma. Notes of orange, peach, and mango ride a wave of balanced bitterness in this surprisingly drinkable 8% Double IPA.
“Last year’s Big D series was a lot of fun for us and a way to experiment with what makes great IPA’s,” added Bens. “The IPA landscape is always changing, but we think that balance is key to making an IPA that people want to keep coming back to. With our Big-D Double, we have created a wonderful balance of strength, hoppiness, flavor and aroma.”
The beer’s label features the "Big D Robot," a nod to Dallas’ iconic Traveling Man sculptures, taking Big Tex and the Fair Park ferris wheel for a stroll. Bens added, “I might be biased, but this is the best IPA we’ve come out with so far and it’s a perfect way to start celebrating our 10 years in beer! We have a lot of surprises in store for this year. I can’t wait!”
French Toast Temptress is currently available on draft and in 4-packs at the Lakewood Brewing Taproom, while Big-D Double IPA is also available in six-packs and on draft in the Lakewood Brewing Taproom at 2302 Executive Drive in Garland.
