HERSHEY, PA – Tröegs Independent Brewing announces the release of Pennsylvania Peach, the brewery’s first collaboration with Pittsburgh’s Wigle Whiskey.
Pennsylvania Peach starts with Wigle’s made-from-scratch whiskey distilled from regionally grown organic wheat grain. For four years, the folks at Wigle aged the whiskey in new charred oak barrels, then transferred it to barrels that once housed Tröegs Freaky Peach Pennsylvania Sour Ale. Finally, the whiskey was steeped with fresh peaches and apricots.
With notes of peach, mango, brown sugar and allspice, Pennsylvania Peach is a sweet way to sip through the rest of the Pennsylvania summer.
To celebrate this partnership, $1 from each bottle sold will benefit Feeding Pennsylvania's mission of connecting food-insecure Pennsylvanians with surplus from local farms.
Pennsylvania Peach is available starting Thursday, July 29 and can be ordered for pick-up in Pittsburgh or shipped to PA or DC.
