At Brasserie de Brunehaut, our 2020 business plan focused on a U.S. market return. Stuff happens, plans change and our lockdown focus shifted, most significantly, to gaining esteemed B Corp certification. Today, we proudly announce that Brunehaut Organic became the first E.U. brewery to earn B Corp status during March 2021. Globally, 3500+ companies are now B Corp certified across seventy countries.
Certification took twenty months to complete. Brewery owner Marc- Antoine De Mees recalls “Our work to fulfill B Corp standards was driven by farm-to-table brewing methods including operational sustainability, environmental stewardship, fair trade and dynamic employee empowerment.
