Today I have a new wine-inspired stout coming from The Bruery in Placentia, CA. This is The Rutherfords and it will be an imperial stout with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Carignane grapes aged in French oak puncheons. The grapes are sourced from the BV1 Experimental vineyard block at The Rutherford Appellation of Napa Valley. This beer will hit 15.1%-AbV and you’re looking at the 750ml bottle. Stay tuned for 2021 release details.
