Anheuser-Busch Delivering 100,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Help Prepare for Hurricane Dorian

Anheuser-Busch Delivering 100,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Help Prepare for Hurricane DorianFrom Anheuser-Busch:

Anheuser-Busch is delivering two truckloads – more than 100,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to local communities in Florida to help prepare for the expected impact of Hurricane Dorian. The delivery is in response to a request from the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in communities threatened by the hurricane, which is expected to be the worst storm to hit Central Florida in three decades.

As employee safety is the foremost and primary concern, Anheuser-Busch is closely monitoring the storm and is taking action to ensure colleagues in the region, including at their Jacksonville, Florida brewery, are safe and prepared.

The emergency drinking water will be delivered to the Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville brewery as well as the brewer’s wholesaler partners Southern Eagle Distributing, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, and Bernie Little Distributors who will work alongside the American Red Cross to distribute the water locally to those in need.

The donation of clean, safe drinking water will be transported from Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville, Georgia brewery, which alongside the company’s Fort Collins, Colorado brewery, periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can emergency drinking water to help communities in times of disaster.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 81 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters nationwide.

This year, Anheuser-Busch has provided more than 800,000 cans of emergency drinking water to communities to support disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross.
