Mildly Bitter with a Fresh Grass Finish
Second Self Beer Company, the craft brewery based in Atlanta, Georgia, has officially released their first batch of Golden Blonde (4.4% ABV) this month.
The team at Second Self spent the past two years perfecting this easy-drinking, no-adjunct beer in their Westside taproom. Made with Cascade and Pacific Gem hops, Golden Blonde has mild bitterness and a fresh grass finish, making the sunny-hued brew a smooth alternative to hoppy IPAs and lagers without compromising on taste. This simply good beer is a light and crisp staple that pairs perfectly with all warm-weather activities, from grilling to watching baseball, lounging on the beach or tubing in the Chattahoochee River.
Additionally, Second Self debuted Kirkwood Ale, a variation of Golden Blonde, at the Kirkwood Spring Fling in May. Created in tribute to Co-Founder Jason Santamaria’s neighborhood, a portion of all Kirkwood Ale proceeds will go towards Kirkwood Cares, an organization that provides repairs and assistance for low-income families in Kirkwood.
Golden Blonde can be found on draft and in cans at Second Self’s taproom and at bars and restaurants throughout Georgia. Distribution to South Carolina and Alabama will begin later this month.
