Country music star Jimmie Allen & Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione release Slightly Mighty remix of 'Slower, Lower'

From Dogfish Head:

“Roots run a little deeper,” in the ‘Slower, Lower’ part of the SLIGHT(ly), but MIGHTY state of Delaware.

Country music star, Jimmie Allen recently returned to his native state of Delaware to play a live show at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth. During his homecoming, Jimmie collaborated with the Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, to shoot a music video for a remix of his hit song, ‘Slower, Lower.’  A song chock full of references to the slight, but mighty state of Delaware, the original version was inspired by Jimmie’s time growing up on ‘Mercury Lane’ in the small town of Milton – the very town in which Dogfish Head’s production brewery is located.

While Jimmie’s career takes him to locations across the country (and world), he never forgets his roots; they are his inspiration. Because both Jimmie and Sam have such strong ties to and love for the coastal Delaware area, the connection and comradery between them was instant. Together, they came up with the lyrics for the remix of ‘Slower, Lower,’ including references to both of their histories in the First State. For Sam, these references included Dogfish Head and its Slightly Mighty lo-cal IPA, which is brewed with lo-cal(ly) grown and malted barley. With only 95 calories, 3.6g carbs, 1g protein, 0g fat per 12oz serving, Slightly Mighty is slight in calories and carbs, with mighty hop character … or as Jimmie  sings in the ‘Slower, Lower’ remix, “she’s slight, but mighty like her home state.”Country music star Jimmie Allen & Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione release Slightly Mighty remix of 'Slower, Lower'

The music video for the remix of ‘Slower, Lower’ features both Jimmie and Sam, and visually explores their “stomping grounds.” Scenes include the duo sipping on “ice cold (Slightly Mighty) beer,” locals relaxing “closer to the water,” and more.
