Second Self Beer Company, the craft brewery based in Atlanta, Georgia, is excited to announce the return of seasonal beer Havana Night (4.6% ABV) this April.
A guava sour inspired by co-founder Jason Santamaria’s heritage, Havana Night was created to be enjoyed on warm nights. The Berliner Weisse is fermented with fresh pink guava puree for a sour yet refreshing citrus finish and a soft pink hue. The beer’s flavor captures the essence of fresh guava found in Cuban desserts and savory dishes, and suggested pairings include Cuban sandwiches, maduros, watermelon salad, and goat cheese.
Havana Night can also be enjoyed in a “beertail,” as follows:
Havana Night Mojito
1.5 oz. light rum
1 tbsp lime juice
6 oz. Second Self's Havana Night
Fresh mint for garnish
(Optional) 1 bar spoon simple syrup
Add rum and lime juice to an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake for about 15 seconds. Strain mixture into a chilled pint glass, top with Havana Night, and stir gently to combine. Garnish with mint.
Havana Night can be found on draft at Second Self’s taproom and on draft and in cans at bars and restaurants throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama starting in April.
