Oskar Blues Announces Barn Burner Beers

Oskar Blues Announces Barn Burner BeersFrom Oskar Blues:

We’re dropping a different specialty beer EVERY THURSDAY in December. Don’t miss your chance to try these RARE brews outta the OG brew barn in Lyons, CO. Available in Boulder, Longmont, and Brevard taprooms only.

DECEMBER 6: Long Live the Thing English Brown Ale 6.0% ABV – We’re declaring our allegiance to great beer with this English Brown Ale. The beer, crafted by our Brewhaüs Operator, Scott Johnson, features a malt bill spearheaded by nutty Maris Otter alongside a subtle hop build and the dry, earthy flavors of English ale yeast. In a surprise cross-beverage twist, coldbrewed Earl Grey tea and bergamot are added and Bob’s your uncle! You’re looking at a malt-forward English brown ale with biscuity undertones and a hint of tea flavor. Crumpets optional.

DECEMBER 13: Concept IPA 7.2% ABV – We paired a tried-and-true malt bill with an ALL-STAR cast of hops – Strata and Hallertauer Blanc co-star alongside Enigma and Eureka, with a show-stopping cameo by Cashmere. The result is a massive, juicy, unfiltered hop blockbuster featuring dank peachy melon flavors and stone fruit notes.

DECEMBER 20: Gypsy Squid Extra Brut Pilsner 5.0% ABV – We wish we had eight appendages so we could octo-fist this super dry, refreshing pilsner. German pilsner malt and experimental German hops come together, fermented with lager yeast from Augustiner in Munich. The result is a champagne-crisp flavor with subtle floral and citrus characteristics – worthy of wrapping your tentacles around.

DECEMBER 27: Great Overall 5.5% ABV – Great Overall is a well-rounded hoppy pale ale, co-fermented with two different types of yeast for a little bit of funkiness – both our house ale yeast, and a Saison yeast that encourages tropical fruit esters. This beer is crisp and clean with fruity notes of citrus and pineapple and a smooth malty finish. Great Overall was brewed by an interdepartmental group from the brewery made up of a buncha creative and stylish people.
