Sparkman Wharf is located in downtown Tampa on the Garrison Channel and features an expansive dining garden,
biergarten and open-air event lawn for events and recreation. The grand opening weekend begins on Friday, November 30, 2018.

True to its namesake, Sparkman Wharf celebrates Tampa – it’s culinary talent, craft beer scene, music, weather, and the waterfront. Sparkman Wharf will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. It will also be open on any day there is a NHL Tampa Bay Lightning home game or event at Amalie Arena.

In partnership with Gasparilla Music Festival, weekends will be filled with live music from Tampa Bay area favorites. For the grand opening weekend, planned for Friday, November 30 through Sunday, December 2, 2018, Sparkman Wharf will feature a selection of events and activities. Local favorites will play throughout the weekend, including: John Holley, Conner Zwetsch, and JT Brown on Friday evening; Ari Chi, Have Gun Will Travel featuring Garret Klahn, and DJ Sirious on Saturday; and, La Lucha and Tribal Style on Sunday.

On Saturday, December 1, CAMP will host the inaugural CAMP Games, which is a team-based fitness competition. Additional details can be found at SparkmanWharf.com.

The one-acre recreation lawn offers plenty of space for sitting and relaxing, and will be specially programmed year-round with engaging activities, games and recreation. With plenty of seating available throughout the park as well as on the wharf, guests are free to bring beach towels and blankets.

Through 2018, Wednesdays will be movie night, with seasonal favorites being shown on the lawn.

On Tuesday, December 11, Sparkman Wharf opens in partnership with Walk Bike Tampa to host a forum on pedestrian, bike and street safety with Tampa’s mayoral candidates. This event is free to attend. Sparkman Wharf’s innovative dining garden showcases new culinary concepts from Tampa’s best restaurateurs and chefs. Housed in repurposed shipping containers that pay homage to Tampa’s legacy as a working waterfront port and have been custom designed and painted by local firm, Pep Rally, restaurants at Sparkman Wharf include: Foundation Coffee, which will serve cold brew, espresso and more; Whatever Pops, which will serve house-made gelato, acai bowls and gourmet ice-pops; Four-time James Beard semifinalist Chef Jeannie Pierola’s edison’s Swigamajig divebar and fishkitchen, which will serve modern libations and seafood; The Corners Pizza, which serves Detroit-style pies; Flock & Stock by Dave Burton, which American roadside classics will be served at; BT in a Box by Chef BT Nguyen, which will serve up fresh, Vietnamese-French fusion dishes; Montados, which will serve tapas and has been crafted by the dynamic duo behind Mise en Place, Maryann Ferenc and Chef Marty Blitz; Boat Run Oyster Company, which has been created by SaltBlock Hospitality and will serve fresh seafood; and Gallito, a modern taqueria by 2017 James Beard Best Chef South nominee and owner of Tampa’s number 1 restaurant Rooster & The Till, Chef Ferrell Alvarez.

Directly adjacent to the dining garden is Fermented Reality, a 3,000 square foot biergarten that showcases 30 taps and promotes the best of Florida’s craft beer. The bar, which will be covered, provides guests with a shady space to enjoy a drink with flexible seating, outdoor televisions and a cooling mister
system.

The waterfront dining and entertainment experience at Sparkman Wharf also complementsapproximately 180,000 square feet of spacious loft-style office space and 65,000 square feet of ground- level retail. In Fall 2018, SPP unveiled two new trophy office towers being built at Water Street Tampa, which will be a first for the city in nearly 25 years. The office space at Sparkman Wharf complements the new office towers, which altogether creates one million square feet of new space and offers a variety of options for the multitude of creative, technology, and finance companies that are looking to expand or relocate to Tampa.

Once complete, Water Street Tampa will welcome 23,000 people to live, work, visit, and explore every day. Water Street Tampa, one of the largest active downtown real estate developments in the United States, is a multi-phased, mixed-use community that will include more than nine million square feet of commercial, residential, hospitality, educational, entertainment, cultural and retail space. Set to open in a
series of phases beginning in 2020, the first new buildings have already broken ground.
