Constellation Brands Creates Chief Diversity Officer Position, Appoints Kris Carey to the RoleFrom Constellation:

VICTOR, NY  July 11, 2018 − Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), a leading beverage alcohol company, announced today that Kris Carey has been appointed to the newly created role of chief diversity officer, reporting to Bill Newlands, president and chief operating officer. Carey also will maintain her current role as senior vice president, general counsel, beer division. She takes on her expanded responsibilities immediately.

In her expanded role, Carey will be responsible for leading a Diversity and Inclusion team and shaping and implementing Constellation Brands’ diversity and inclusion strategy. With a senior leadership role and team focused on diversity and inclusion the company aims to: drive innovation, performance and engagement; acquire and retain top, diverse talent; and benefit from the diversity in thought and work styles that employees contribute every day.

Carey is also a 2013 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and recipient of the 2016 Legal Champion Award presented by the Illinois Diversity Council for leadership excellence in promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
