Stone Opening 2nd Berlin Taproom – Prenzlauer Berg

Stone Opening 2nd Berlin Taproom – Prenzlauer BergFrom Forbes:

In July 2016, the San Diego-area-based company revealed a 75-tap, 1,200-seat brewery, restaurant and biergarden on the southern fringes of Berlin, and on Tuesday will invite the public to a much more “intimate,” as the company is calling it, taproom in the central-ish Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood.

Called the “Stone Brewing Tap Room – Prenzlauer Berg” and sited near the landmark Mauerpark Sunday Market, the pub will serve 27 draught beers alongside a menu of international street food and all-day breakfast, including vegetarian and vegan fare. Most taps will pour Stone’s own offerings -- brewed both in Berlin and at its four U.S. locations – though a few will rotate through other local and global craft beers. Berlin law will allow beertenders to offer wine, spirits and locally roasted espresso, as well.

“The people of Berlin have been so welcoming of us and embraced our bold and non-traditional craft beers. It’s been a wonderful city for us to call home. So now we’re ready to add a ‘neighborhood’ spot for our fans to experience the best craft beers from Stone and our fellow craft brewers!” says Greg Koch, executive chairman and cofounder, in a statement.
