Way back, like 20(ish) years ago back, Chicagoans were the first drinkers to give a dark, viscous imperial stout aged in Bourbon barrels a try. In a time when craft beer was in its infancy, it was Chicagoans that welcomed this innovative barrel-aged stout with open minds and eager palates. That stout, of course, is Bourbon County Brand Stout, the first beer aged in a Bourbon barrel. Since 2013, as a thank you to our adventurous and loyal Chicago fans, Bourbon County Stout Proprietor’s is released in Chicago one day only – Black Friday.
Prop Day
Come celebrate the release of Bourbon County Stout a week early. Join us outside our Taproom for a street market and a bottle release. We’ll be shutting down the street outside of 1800 W Fulton on November 19th for the ultimate Bourbon County Celebration. Local Chicago companies will be sampling their unique goods made with or inspired by Bourbon County Stout. Music, Food Trucks, and plenty of beer will keep you warm on what is likely going to be a brisk November day. Tickets are $30 and are awarded via a lottery drawing. Winners have the option to purchase an additional ticket for a guest.
Each Ticket Includes:
- Option to purchase two bottles of Bourbon County Stout Proprietor’s and one bottle of Bourbon County Reserve (Knob Creek Collab)
- One Commemorative Snifter
- Custom Bourbon County tote bag
- Five tokens for 3oz. pours of 2017 Bourbon County Variant samples or 12oz. pours of Old Man Grumpy
- Access to the street market outside of the the Taproom before and after bottle pickup
Tickets will be available for purchase via lottery
- October 9th 12:00pm CST Lottery opens
- Enter once daily
- October 16th 11:59pm CST Lottery Closes
- October 18th 12:00pm CST Winners chosen at random and notified via email
- Winners will have 48 hours to claim tickets
- October 20th 12:00pm CST email to second round of winners delivered
- Winners will have 48 Hours to claim tickets
- October 22nd all winners confirmed
This year, to keep wait times to a minimum and party time to a maximum, we will be breaking bottle pickup into four groups. Bottle pickup will take place at the Taproom. Refer to your winning email for which pickup group you belong to. You will only be permitted to pickup during your designated time. No exceptions. All allotments are secured, all groups will have equal access to the selection of Bourbon County.
- Four Pickup Groups A,B,C,D
- Group A: 11:00am – 12:30pm
- Group B: 12:30pm – 2:00pm
- Group C: 2:00pm – 3:30pm
- Group D: 3:30pm – 5:00pm
