As the countdown to Day Of Retribution continues, we have a few updates on the beers and entertainment that will be making this event one you won't want to miss! 14 barrels have received their additional ingredients and are slowly becoming our Cocoa & Chile, and Espresso & Vanilla Retribution flavor variants for 2017. The moment where our patience will be justified is fast approaching, and what goes best with great beer? Food and music of course! We'll have two food trucks, Bmore Greekand El Gringo, on site all day as well as live music! Mark your calendars and we'll see you at the brewery Saturday, November 4th between 11am and 3pm, for this open house event and one-day-only direct sale of 12oz classic, vintage, and limited flavor variant bottles of Retribution Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout!
2017 Retribution Variant Tasting Notes:
• Classic Retribution: Available in 12oz bottles, this brew is an intricate blend of dark chocolate, coffee, and fruit flavors dominates the palate and conceals a warming 11.5% ABV. Six months aging in bourbon barrels infuses the beer with notes of oak, caramelized sugar, and vanilla, creating a smoky, sophisticated imperial stout.
• Espresso & Bourbon Vanilla Bean Retribution: Available in 12oz bottles, this brew is dosed with locally sourced Whole Bean Espresso & African Bourbon Vanilla Beans which highlight Retribution's inherent vanilla and espresso notes while complimenting its barrel aged & roasted malt flavors & aromas.
• Cocoa & Chile Retribution: Available in 12oz bottles, this brew is dosed with Cocoa Nibs & Pasilla De Oaxaca Chilies which add rich dark chocolate notes, & smokey chili heat to Retribution's inherent oak, vanilla, espresso, and roasted malt flavors & aromas.
