Prost! We're celebrating the first day of Oktoberfest in the biergarten at Flat12 with the release of a new German brew, a singalong in the biergarten with live polka band, Indy Polkamotion, a Steinholding competition, and a festive Oktoberfest menu from Hoagies and Hops!
We'll tap Dunkelprinz, our special German-style Oktoberfest beer. Dunkelprinz ("dark prince") is a malty wheat ale made in honor of our neighborhood's German history & love of beer. Perfect for the fall, this weizen has bready Bavarian malt and light chocolate flavors, with a hint of banana from German yeast.
The party is free to attend, and guests can choose to purchase a Flat12 Oktoberfest Beer Stein Package, which includes a custom imported commemorative German Rastal 1 Liter Dimpled Stein and fill. Steins are $15 and include a fill of your choice (*beers under 5% only.) Refills are $10 and 1/2 refills $5.
You'll also be entered into our Steinholding competition with prizes to the winner!
Glassware is limited, so get them in advance while they last HERE.
Celebrating 28 years together, Indy Polkamotion will play their popular mix of traditional polkas, waltzes, and rock covers in the biergarten from 4p-8p. Raise your stein and join in the singalongs!
Hoagies and Hops is providing a delicious Oktoberfest Menu:
- Dunkelprinz Beer Braised Brat on a pretzel bun topped with Sweet Kraut, Bacon & House Porter Mustard or Beer Cheese
- $8 Snack Box - Mustard, Pretzels, Pickled Egg, Spicy House Pickles, Cheese, Ring Bologna Sausage
