Braxton Oktober Fuel Returns

Prost to new traditions! Braxton Brewing Company will be releasing it’s Oktoberfest Lager, Oktober Fuel, in cans beginning in August. The Covington-based brewery is celebrating with a beer garden at their Covington taproom on August 19th and several Oktoberfest-themed events throughout their distribution footprint!

“Oktoberfest in Cincinnati is one of the greatest celebrations in the country,” said Jake Rouse, Co-Founder & CEO of Braxton Brewing Company. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate these traditions with the return of Oktober Fuel. This traditional Oktoberfest lager is one of the finest beers we produce, and every year we look forward to lifting one to life with this incredibly traditional beer. Prost!”

Draft beer, along with 6-packs of 12 oz. cans, will be available at select retailers, liquor stores, bars and restaurants across the brewing company’s distribution network in Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and Dayton.

This authentic German Lager was referenced as one of the best examples of style by Draft Magazine in 2016. Using a method called decoction to boil a portion of the beer’s mash bill, the brewery achieves a rich malt complexity that is delicately balanced by the addition of noble hops.

“Our first canned seasonal release is finally back and I couldn’t be more excited,” said Evan Rouse, Braxton Brewing Company Co-Founder and COO. “This Oktoberfest Lager is brewed in the German Tradition and was mentioned as one of the best in the country by Draft Magazine.”

Fuel for Fall, Braxton will be “Prosting” at several parties throughout the season and its distribution network. At each party, they’ll be giving away Oktober Fuel can glasses, raffling off a limited edition ceramic one liter stein and giving away a limited edition Oktober Fuel screenprint by Durham Brand & Co. These limited edition prints used Oktober Fuel in the ink and are numbered to 100. View the process here.

In their Covington taproom, Braxton will tap Oktober Fuel on Saturday, August 19. The brewery will also be giving away can glasses, a few limited edition steins and screen prints. They’ll be turning their outdoor patio into a Beer Garden and be hosting live German music from the Zinzinnati Bierband.
