Lakewood Brewing Announces Its Summer Releases

Dallas, TX: Lakewood Brewing Company is releasing 2 summer seasonal beers: Dry-hopped Zomer Pils in 6 pack cans and Artsy Tartsy on draft.

Zomer Pils, a Bavarian-style pilsner, is now dry-hopped with Lemondrop and noble variety hops to add a touch of citrusy, grassy aroma and flavor. It’s still the crisp, bright, refreshing, and thirst-quenching craft brew that everyone loves.

“We’re excited to re-release Zomer with this little hoppy twist,” stated Wim Bens, Founder & President of Lakewood Brewing Company. “As huge fans of lagers and pilsners in particular, we love nothing more than to kick back with an ice cold pilsner on a hot afternoon.”

With the surge in popularity that pilsners are starting to see once again, Zomer is a prime example of why the style is highly underrated. Wim adds, “We honestly didn’t think this beer could get any more refreshing, but proved ourselves wrong with this brew.”

Artsy Tartsy, a Berliner-style Weisse beer, introduces a summer touch of peaches. You will find it super refreshing, light and tart, and just the thing to battle those hot Texas days. Once a Taproom and special event-only beer, this is the first release of Artsy Tartsy to the community at large.

“Artsy Tartsy is just as refreshing, with a slightly fruitier spin on it,” stated Wim. “Nothing screams summer in Texas quite like fresh peaches. Any road trip through the hill country will be greeted with stands full of peaches. We chose a Berliner Weisse since the style pairs so well with fruit. The added tartness and low ABV and bitterness make it highly drinkable.”
Both summer releases will be available throughout DFW starting all this week and throughout the summer months, with more markets in the coming weeks.
