SweetWater Announces Hatchery Series #1: Mosaic IPA

From SweetWater:

Back in September we introduced yall to our pilot system: a 10 barrel brewhouse that would give our brewers the opportunity to test new and experimental recipes in relatively small batches. The plan was to serve the results in our tasting room, but then they started cooking up some seriously tasty shit we knew the world needed to taste. So…

Today we’re stoked to announce the first production run of one of those recipes will be hitting shelves in the Spring Variety Pack next week.

Hatchery Series #1 is an India Pale Ale exclusively featuring Mosaic hops. Expect notes of juicy orange, mango, citrus and passionfruit with a tropical and biscuity nose and drinkable 6.4% ABV.

Our brewers Chad & Lucas came up with the recipe, so we’ll let them say it best:

“We chose the mind-blowing Mosaic Hop and a simple grain bill; decided on a hefty late hop addition and a generous dry hop schedule – all to be st showcase the flavor and aroma. The result is a light, crushable, moderately bitter brew for hopheads like us.”

You’ll be able to find it in our tasting room while it lasts and on shelves in the Spring bottles Variety Pack through April. Can’t wait for yall to try this special creation, and stay tuned for what’s coming next.

UPDATE 10 Feb 2017:  Special experimental brews from our pilot system, The Hatchery,
only available on tap at the brewery during our tours... til they run out:

Mint Stout
Baby Face Pale Ale
