Gaga Surprises a Capacity Silver Lake Crowd with Insta-Classics off Her New Album, “Joanne”

Thursday, October 27: After kicking things off among the honky-tonks of Music City, Nashville, then making a heartfelt return to the dive bars of lower Manhattanwhere she got her start, last night, Lady Gaga brought it all together — the glam and the grit — with the third and final stop of the Bud Light x Lady Gaga Dive Bar Tourin the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Gaga hit the stage to a capacity crowd, kicking off her set with “Come to Mama” and quickly followed with “A-Yo” led once again by Mark Ronson on guitar. She then played rock ballad “John Wayne” live for the first time to a raucous crowd before an emotional rendition of “Million Reasons,” which hit the iTunes #1 spot yesterday, and brought the crowd to tears.

Before a quick outfit change – into a simple white t-shirt and cutoff jean shorts – the songstress continued the set with a rousing version of “Angel Down” which was written in memory of Trayvon Martin. She then brought Mark Ronson back out, this time on acoustic guitar, for a gorgeous performance of “Joanne,” speaking to the meaning behind the album and how important the song is to her family – specifically her father, whose sister is the inspiration for the album.

The night closed out with the high-energy hit, “Perfect Illusion,” during which Gaga crowd surfed before dropping the mic – literally – on the Bud Light x Lady Gaga Dive Bar Tour.

Gaga was joined again in the crowd by her family, with celebrity cameos by Ru Paul, Brie Larson (with fiancé Alex Greenwald), Ashley Simpson and Evan Ross, Brian Greenberg and Jamie Chung along with fellow musicians X Ambassadors and Zedd all showing their support.

If you missed out on the final show of the tour, check out the Bud Light Facebook page to stream the event, and be sure to pick up her latest album, “Joanne,” now available everywhere.
