Heavy Seas Below Decks Barleywine & Partner Ships Series w/Stone Brewing Coming In Nov

BALTIMORE, MD -- - The “Uncharted Waters” Series by Heavy Seas Beer will soon

welcome the 2016 edition of Below Decks, an English-style Barley Wine. This beer has

not been including in the brewery’s portfolio since 2012. This limited release will b e

available starting in November.

From the depths of the Heavy Seas ship comes our Below Decks barley wine. 

Aged for a full year in red wine barrels, this palate punisher has enough firepower to

keep your crew imagesatisfied for the duration of the winter excursion. The beer is opulently

rich, malty, and nuanced with notes of dried cherries and subtle oak. See why some of

the greatest things come to those who wait.

Style: English-style Barley Wine

ABV: 12.2%

IBU: 60

Hops: Target, Fuggle, Goldings

Malts: Marris Otter, Vienna, Crystal

2016 Partner Ships series of collaboration beers – an Imperial Brown IPA with Stone 

Brewing Company. This series features beers produced in collaboration with other

regionally and nationally recognized brewers in the spirit of friendship, creativity, and

adventure. For 2016, Heavy Seas partnered with Maine Beer, Troegs Independent

Brewing, Terrapin Beer, and Stone Brewing Company. The Partner Ships series is

brewed at Heavy Seas in Baltimore and celebrates the pioneering spirit of American

craft beer today.

The Stone collaboration beer, releasing in November 2016, will be a 9% ABV

Imperial Brown IPA. Brewed with Blackstrap Molasses in the kettle, chewy malt

character supports layers of Aimagemerican hop mayhem (we are playing with Stone after all)

– a burly, palate obliterating Imperial Brown IPA!
