Anheuser-Busch New Faces to Our North American Leadership

imageFrom Anheuser-Busch:

Our company is having an exciting year! Budweiser kicked off the most patriotic summer of a generation, we announced a new product with Starbucks, and this month we completed the world’s first-ever shipment by self-driving truck, just to name a few milestones. Meanwhile, our global colleagues achieved an amazing accomplishment in the combination with SABMiller and the welcoming of many new employees around the world.

While the combination brought no new assets for the U.S., it has brought the opportunity for us as a global company to integrate our two businesses around the world, and exciting new job opportunities for many colleagues.

With that, we are pleased to share some exciting changes to our North American leadership team, or our MANCOM. We are welcoming two new MANCOM members, and two of our colleagues are moving on to new roles and challenges.

Dave Taylor, VP Supply

Dave Taylor, currently President of the Metal Container Corporation, will take on the role of VP of Supply. Dave is a 20-year veteran of our company and is currently responsible for MCC’s lid, can and aluminum bottle manufacturing, as well as A-B’s Longhorn glass-making operation. He started his career at A-B in 1996 in the engineering department and then progressed through brewing positions in Williamsburg and Corporate Brewing. Dave has served as a Staff Brewmaster in St. Louis, Senior Resident Engineer at the Jacksonville brewery, Senior General Manager of the Newark brewery, PPM Director for the supply organization, and as Director of Brewery Operations, where he led significant performance improvement in our most critical plant operations.

Marcel Marcondes, VP of Marketing

Marcel joins us from the global team where he has been Global VP, Marketing Brands and Growth Development Platforms for the past 2 years. Marcel joined our company in 2005, after 8 years at Unilever. He held a number of key positions in LAN, including Head of Skol brand marketing, Head of Brahma + Antarctica brand marketing, and then as part of the sales team as Head of Consumer Connections + the World Cup Project. Marcel moved to our Global Headquarters in September 2014 as Global Marketing VP for Corona and New Brands, and took on his current role in 2014.

These two appointments mean that Vini Barbosa and Jorn Socquet are moving on to important new roles after several years of invaluable service.

Jorn has been appointed to a new global role as VP marketing strategy, core brands (and beyond), reporting to Miguel Patricio, our global CMO. In this role, he will focus on global core brands and, of course, will continue to work closely with the North American zone. Jorn brings his truly global experience – having worked in Belgium, Canada, and the U.S. leading both global and local brands – to a team now overseeing marketing in nine global zones.

Vini will transition to focus on special projects, working with our former VP Supply Pete Kraemer (now global head of Supply).

Finally, we are re-organizing certain responsibilities among our MANCOM team. Fued Sadala will continue to oversee Procurement and will now assume responsibility for Logistics as well. With that, the Solutions team will now be led by our VP, Finance, Nelson Jamel. Nelson will retain the Finance team so he will now lead both Finance and Solutions.

Transition into these new roles will start immediately and will be effective as of January 1, 2017.

Our culture is a culture of constant positive change, and that includes team changes and opening up new opportunities – both for our people and for our business. We are excited for our colleagues and the new adventures that lie ahead of them, and all our teams.
