Downingtown, PA, July 1, 2016 - Victory Brewing Company (Victory) introduces Vital IPA in 12 oz. bottles in six and twelve packs with a new social media campaign to celebrate the spirit of ‘Vital.’ Fans of Victory will share photos of themselves enjoying the fresh, crisp and complex brew while pursuing their favorite summertime activities - whether lounging on a hammock, cooling off from a bike ride, or enjoying a backyard barbeque, Vital IPA is #VitalToWhereYouAre. Throughout the next two months, select hashtag users will be awarded Victory swag such as t-shirts and Koozies.

Available year-round, Vital IPA is bright and aromatic, packed with American Simcoe, Chinook and Citra hops and clean German malts. The result is a light-bodied, golden IPA with rich aromas of pine, tropical fruits and stone fruits. Vital IPA has a 6.5% ABV and can be purchased throughout Victory’s 37 state distribution footprint for a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 6-pack of 12 oz. bottles or cans.

Vital IPA is a unique IPA that falls into a category of its own. It was conceived when the brewers at Victory found themselves yearning for a different kind of IPA–one that finished with the refreshment of a Pilsner. As German-trained lager brewers, Victory’s brewers combined their European training with the brewery’s overarching thirst for American creativity to create an IPA that stands out for its pilsner malt base, extremely dry fermentation, filtered clarity and aromatically intense American dry hop profile over a bitter, quenching finish. Pilsner brewing requires a certain thoughtfulness that the Vital IPA brewing process replicates in the malt bill, hop schedule and fermentation temperature. Another Vital IPA distinction is its incorporation of a very unique ale-yeast strain, the Kolsch yeast native to Köln, Germany, that is not utilized in a similar fashion by any other craft brewers.

“Vital IPA begins as an IPA & finishes as a Pilsner, providing an entirely unique flavor experience. We wanted to make an IPA that was crisp, refreshing and a real cooler beer. Something you reach for on a hike, at a concert or at the beach,” said Victory founder and brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “Be it on draft, in a can or a bottle, we want this beer to be Vital to Where You Are.”
