From Schlafly:

It’s in the name and inherently in every step of the brewing process: Schlafly Beer launches the third brew of its seasonal rotating IPA series with American IPA made with U.S.-grown hops, available starting Memorial Day, May 30.

“Boldly American from start to finish, our American IPA celebrates the distinctive hops that grow in the Pacific Northwest,” Schlafly Ambassador Brewer Stephen Hale says. “We named this beer American IPA to reflect those ideals because quality, U.S.-produced ingredients that amount to great taste speak for themselves.”

Sourced by the brewers directly from hop farmers in Oregon and Washington, the 100% American hops impart Schlafly American IPA (7.2% ABV, 65 IBUs) with citrus and fruit flavors, notable bitterness, and a touch of a resin-pine aroma. This super-charged version of an American pale ale, has a clean finish and a powerful emphasis on its complex hop character, with a golden hue and a bright, full body from the malted barley.

Rounding out Schlafly’s rotating special-release IPA loop, American IPA follows Farmhouse IPA and Tasmanian IPA and is available through September. Schlafly is dedicated to diversity in its quality ingredients: In 2016, the brewery plans to use 102 hop varietals, 77 malts and grains, 59 difference spices and fruits, and 10 difference yeast strains to make its beers.

American IPA can be purchased on draft or in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles at the Bottleworks or Tap Room locations. The six-packs ($10.99 suggested retail) are also available across the brewery’s entire distribution region.
