Ballast Point - Barmy Has Arrived And It’s 12%-AbV

imageFrom Ballast Point:

Well we finally bottled Barmy Ale yesterday...a strong golden ale that lives up to its name...in a way. Some know "barmy" as slang for crazy or wacky. But historically it's referred to the froth coming from fermenting fruit or beer, a definition that suits this brew's tart fruitiness and sweet but not too sugary finish. In our tasting bars in 12oz bottles starting this afternoon after 3pm...then showing up around the country in limited quantities over the next month or so...Oh and it comes in at 12% ABV...be careful with this one.

Now with all the Barmy excitement, you may have forgotten about our upcoming events....we have you covered. Check out a couple of our upcoming events below:

  • Join us on Tuesday June 7th from 6pm-8pm on the patio at Scripps Ranch for a Barrel Aged Beer & Southern Draw Cigar Pairing featuring: four 4oz pours of select barrel aged beers and two cigars provided by southern draw cigars. We will also have you Barrel Aged Beer Coordinator Steven Anderson, and Southern Draw Cigars founder Robert Holt on hand to speak as well. Ticket prices and more information here. Also - if you attend you will be able to purchase one bottle of Limited Release Barrel-Aged Victory at Sea for $30.00. Limited quantity.
  • We also still have seats for our upcoming Beer Dinner at Ballast Point Little Italy. We are hosting a Smoke + R&D themed five course meal on June 8th, at 6:30pm. $65 saves your spot, and includes a $5 Uber credit to boot. You can see the full menu here and reserve your spot by emailing littleitaly@ballastpoint.com.
