YONKERS, NY (October 27, 2015) – Sheehan Family Companies announced that they have entered into a distribution partnership with Yonkers Brewing Company. The partnership will enable this Yonkers-based brewery to access more of their local market and introduce their lineup of accessible and easy- drinking craft beers to a wider range of consumers across New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley and the Capital Region.

“Yonkers is more than a business to me and Nick (co-founder), it is a passion project that involves both of our families, our friends, and the entire community,” said John Rubbo, BrewEO and Co-Founder of Yonkers Brewing Co. “Our team is proud of what we have built since we started in January 2013 and we are excited that this partnership will substantially expand our reach and presence in our home market."

Expect to see more Yonkers Brewing Co. on shelves and on taps this week. Yonkers Lager is the brewery’s flagship beer and is available in bottles and kegs, while their Yonkers IPA will start being distributed exclusively in kegs.

“The passion of this family-run brewery is something that really stands out to us, we are selling a story along with great beer,” said Paul Bussiere, General Manager, Craft Beer Guild Distributing Of New York. “The team has done a tremendous job rallying the community around them and we welcome this strong addition to our craft portfolio.”

Located 24 minutes north of New York City, Yonkers Brewing Co. expects to sell approximately 4,000 barrels of beer in 2016 between their wholesale and restaurant / brewery businesses. The brewery is focused on producing accessible, easy-drinking beers, from traditional styles. Their new tasting room allows consumers to experience on-site brewing, 12 different styles at all times and a gastro pub menu.
