From Deschutes:

No longer do you have to wait two years for the next batch of The Dissident. Our brewers are now able to create this delicious and complex beer to be released each year beginning with the 2015 version. Join us at our pubs on November 12th for a celebration of epic proportions! Experience this beer by itself in a snifter or pair it with a special culinary menu prepared just for this release. Not only that, but we’ll have samples on hand, bottles for sale (6 bottle limit), swag commemorating the release, and a vertical flight of 3-4 different versions of The Dissident from previous years ’til they’re gone.

The Dissident 2015 comes in at 11.1% ABV and has been aging for 18 months in French Oak Barrels with Oregon Montmorency Cherries from Chapin Orchards out of Salem, OR. This Flanders-style sour Brown Ale (also known as an Oud Bruin), ferments with wild yeast giving this beer a tart flavor, but is well rounded in aroma and taste with a variety of malts and hints of oak from the barrel-aging process. Since this beer is uber limited, be sure to grab a bottle (or 6) from our pub or tasting room in Bend or at our Portland Pub in the Pearl District. If you are not near Oregon, have a friend pick some up for you. It can be their holiday gift to you, right?!

We’re all super excited over here to enjoy this beer soon and each year from here on out. We hope you are too. And as the famous Pearl Jam song goes… “Oh, a [The] Dissident, a Dissident is heeerrreeee…”

Find The Dissident near you by using our beer finder tool right around its release or look for it at locations that already carry our Reserve Series beer.
