Schlafly Beer Announces Release of Schlafly Imperial Topaz India Pale Ale to Celebrate 23 Years.

While some might celebrate 23 years of joy and happiness with the traditional anniversary gift of an Imperial Topaz gemstone, Schlafly Beer has chosen to honor our faithful fans with an Imperial Topaz IPA.  The concept and the recipe is the work of Schlafly Brewmaster, James “Otto” Ottolini.

“This Imperial IPA is a light amber color, has a bold but elegant citrus flavor and delicious aroma” said Ottolini.  “We discovered the Topaz hop from a grower on the island of Tasmania, Australia, who supplies the hops for our much loved Tasmanian IPA.  When I realized that the gemstone for the 23rd is Imperial Topaz, this became a perfect fit.”

This unique Schlafly ale will become available on December 26, 2014 in very limited draft and 750 ml bottles.  In addition to launching at Schlafly Beer’s Anniversary Parties at both The Schlafly Tap Room and Schlafly Bottleworks, Imperial Topaz will also be available in several fine stores in St. Louis, and larger distribution area.
