November is in full swing, the air is taking on a bit of a chill, and here at Hangar 24 we're prepping for an absolutely packed few weeks of new beers leading up to one of our biggest days of the year: our Pugachev's Cobra release on the first Saturday of December.
Warmer is releasing early this year- Saturday, November 22nd
We will be releasing this year's batch of our Warmer a little early this year, on Saturday, November 22nd. Warmer is the final release in each year's Local Fields series, a lightly hopped, tantalizing ale with festive notes of maple, spruce and spice. Each November we hike into the San Bernardino forests to harvest the fresh spruce tips that lend Warmer the fresh, wintry flavor that won it a gold medal at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival. Chandelle Returns! Mark your calendars for Black Friday, November 28th
It's been over one year in the making but it's finally here- Barrel Roll #5 - Chandelle has been reborn with a brand new process and will make it's 2014 debut on Black Friday, November 28th.
Chandelle is a sour blonde ale aged for one year in white wine barrels, into which we add 850lbs of Golden Sweet Apricots. The fulsome and earthy apricot aromas float on the bracingly sour base developed in the barrel, coming together in a wonderfully complex final beer. This is our first major sour release in over two years, and represents the first of many delicious beers that will be emerging from our new sour program in the coming months.
We will be opening at 10am and popping bottles of Chandelle until midnight, with special access at 9am for anyone who has achieved bronze status or higher in our Frequent Flyer program.
