Hangar 24 Introduces Pugachev Mocha & Falling Leaf

From Hangar 24:

Saturday is a double release day as Barrel Roll #8 – Falling Leaf debuts along-side this year’s batch of Local Fields Gourdgeous. Falling Leaf just went into bottles yesterday, we’ll be celebrating from 11am until midnight Saturday with an afternoon and evening of food and music.

As you have probably heard by now, Saturday will also be the first day that you’ll be able to snag a membership for the Hangar 24 Barrel Roll Membership Club. Remember, we're only doing 400 slots this first year, so come by the Tasting Room as soon as possible if you want to be a part of an entire year of Barrel Roll beers. On that note, we wanted to send you an update with regards to the club-exclusive beer that members can look forward to in that first box.

Pugachev Black Maple needs more time in its maple syrup barrel, so we’re going to let it keep soaking up that bourbon-y, syrup-y goodness for another quarter. These single-barrel club releases are some of the most off-the-wall brewing we've ever done, and we want each and every one to be perfect, especially since we know many of you will save them for some very special occasions. Since Black Maple won’t make the first box, we've got something equally delicious lined up to take its place.

We’re going to create a Pugachev Mocha for our club members. For Mocha we are taking a single barrel of our Pugachev’s Cobra 25 (regular Cobra aged 14 months in a 25 year Heaven Hill Barrel) and adding generous amounts of cocoa nibs from Parliament Chocolate here in Redlands, locally roasted coffee beans from Augie’s Coffee, and lactose sugar to kick the body and sweetness up a few notches. The resulting beer is going to BIG, and showcase some of our favorite local ingredients infused into one of the heaviest beers we have ever crafted.

Whether you’re joining the club, grabbing some Falling Leaf, or just having a pint,
we’ll see you up at the Tasting Room on Saturday!
