Half Acre Lager Town Octoberfest Coming 9/5

From Half Acre:

Now we prime ourselves for Oktoberfest beers.
Brewing Oktoberfest beers might exemplify the place we feel most comfortable in this turbulent American brewing scene.
Not brewing this style of beer, but where they sit in the wild landscape of enjoyment.

There are some pretty heady happenings out there in the USA.
We see a lot of folks continually pressing their noses into fine stemmed tulip glasses and scouring their minds for beautiful adjectives to describe an ethereal flavor profile created by a yeast strain no one's yet identified.

We've heard some placing their appreciation of the esoteric above the readily enjoyed micro classics.

Here at our brewery, we say go for it.  Go buy a thesaurus and rip into the cornucopia of aromas that no one else has ever considered. Only drink beers that demand reflection and conversation to uncover the most elusive of traits.

But, let's not get precious.

Let's all remember that beer in every category -- the high and low, the macro and nano -- is an ingredient to drain away the bullshit and enjoy ourselves.

Oktoberfest beers, for us, celebrate the seasonal fallout and going toe to toe with your family and friends.

Ultimately, the beers fade into the background and serve as a foundation in a much larger quest.

We take making beer seriously and have dedicated ourselves to it, but let's all keep things in check and have a great time.

So, whether this fall you're pulling back Oktoberfest beers, sucking down IPAs after a rock show or breathing in the nuances of a barrel fermented Saison - let's go easy, tread lightly and enjoy ourselves.

2014 Lager Town Octoberfest is a specimen. Toffee and nut aromas ripped clean by lager demons in a balanced malt fantasy.

You'll find that Lager Town has three different labels this year.  We just got back from a trip to Bavaria and it spawned a label conquest.

Get your hands on a couple...

Cheers,

Half Acre
