O’Fallon Brewery has signed an agreement to begin exporting their beer to Italy.

O’Fallon Brewery will begin exporting cases of 5-Day IPA, Zeke’s, Wheach and Smoked Porter to a wholesaler, F&G Compagnia Di Commercio, near Turin in Northern Italy this month. Cases will include six-pack glass bottles.

“The explosive demand for craft beer is not contained to the United States,” said Jim Gorczyca, O’Fallon’s president and CEO. “Distributors around the world are looking for American craft beer to bring to their markets, and we could not be more excited to be exporting O’Fallon beers to Italy. This is a landmark step for our company, and it says a lot about the perception of St. Louis craft beers.”

O’Fallon beers are hand-crafted to appeal to a wide audience. This deal will open doors to other markets overseas and outside of its current 14-state distribution area.

O’Fallon Brewery also is kicking off summer with the launch of a new summer seasonal beer called Berry Best, which will be available in draught only throughout the St. Louis metro area and in select markets in Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi and Ohio.

Berry Best is an unfiltered American wheat beer brewed with real strawberries to create a flavorful beer that showcases a balance between subtle malt breadiness and slightly tart strawberries. It is brewed with two-row, Bonlander and white wheat, in addition to Magnum, Galaxy and Cascade hops, resulting in a crisp strawberry wheat beer, perfect for the warm summer months. Berry Best is 5.1 percent alcohol by volume and 7 IBUs and will be priced comparably to other O’Fallon brands.

O’Fallon Brewery also has released its other seasonal Kite Tail Summer Ale, which is now available in stores. Kite Tail is a light-bodied cream ale with a subtle tartness and crisp finish. Kite Tail is 4.5 percent alcohol by volume and 10 IBUs.

O’Fallon Brewery is building a new 40,000-square-foot craft brewery in Maryland Heights, Mo. The new brewery is located in St. Louis County just north of Westport Plaza and will have an annual brewing capacity of 25,000 beer barrels (344,500 cases), more than double the company’s current volume. The brewery will have room to expand to approximately 50,000 barrels (689,000 cases).

The brewery tasting room will feature a wide variety of O’Fallon beers, as well as specialty beers and a light food menu.
