From Helenair:

A painting valued at $1,200 was stolen from the Lewis and Clark Brewery Tuesday.

The painting, “Quiet Time” by Kathryn Fehlig features two horses at twilight and was the biggest Fehlig has ever displayed at the brewery.

“I had been regularly exhibiting there,” she said Friday. “This was the first time I brought a large, more expensive painting there.”

“I was devastated,” she said. “It was a really good painting. It was one that could be sold at some point.”

“It had already won a ‘Best of Show’ in an exhibition,” Fehlig said.

The Helena Art Center has been working with the local brewery to display art by its members for about two years now, Fehlig said. They are hung for about three months at a time in a small side room away from the main dining area.
