From Woodstock Inn Brewery:

The Woodstock Inn Brewery unveiled its new brand of cans, dubbed the Outdoor Series, at the summit of Cannon Mountain Saturday, March 29. Guests of the brewery filled the 4080 Café at the top of the mountain to celebrate the newest venture by the award-winning craft beer Brewery.

“Canning is now at the epicenter of the growing craft beer movement, and there is no better place to debut our new Outdoor Series than the summit of Cannon Mountain, the jewel of the New Hampshire State Park System,” said Woodstock Inn Brewery owner Scott Rice. “Canning our beer fits nicely with our model of sustainability at the Brewery. Cans are infinitely recyclable, and to aid the ‘carry in, carry out’ mantra we follow as hikers, we have included a bag made from 100 percent recycled materials in every twelve pack for your empties.”

The Woodstock Inn Brewery will begin offering four of its products – three ales and a root beer – in cans this year. The cans will be available at various locations throughout New England and in Market Basket stores in New Hampshire.

The Brewery’s hoppy 4000 Footer IPA was the beer of the evening at the 4080 Café. The 4000 Footer IPA is a big American IPA. Made with four types of hops – Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo, and East Kent Goldings – it has a bready, slightly caramel aroma and a lingering bitterness in the finish. The 4000 Footer’s alcohol content is 6.9%, and it measures 82 IBU (International Bittering Units).

The second beer in the canned Outdoor Series will be the light and subtle Summer Brew. Gently hopped with Saaz hops and highlighted by a slight citrus finish, Summer Brew is best described on the packaging as “Extremely Crushable.” It has an alcohol content of 3.8% and measures 15 IBU.

Later in the summer the Brewery’s famous Autumn Brew with make its canned debut. The Autumn Brew is Chestnut in overall color, medium bodied, with apple and cinnamon flavor and aroma. It measures 4.4% alcohol content and 22 IBU.

The final product in the Outdoor Series is the Woodstock Inn Brewery’s delicious K+M Root Beer, which is made with all natural cane sugar: no high fructose corn syrup, no caffeine, Big Taste!
