Square Mile Cider will expand their distribution in a significant way as well as add six-packs & kegs.  The two Square Mile varieties of cider – The Original and the popular hopped cider, Spur & Vine – will soon be available in seven additional states in the western United States.

The move expands the company’s footprint in Oregon, Washington, and California, while adding distribution in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, and Texas. The news marks a significant increase in product availability for the cider company, with an increase of 71 additional wholesalers.

The company also today announced two new packages; 12oz bottle six-packs and 1/2 barrel draught. The new package options will be available in the expanded distribution area in addition to the currently available 22-ounce bottles and 1/6 barrel draught.

“Today is a big day for Square Mile Cider,” said Lorin Gelfand, the cider company’s brand manager. “This company was founded on the ideals of the pioneering spirit of the western settlers, and this major expansion to new markets, and new packaging offerings, reinforces what the brand was built on.”

Square Mile Spur and Vine 6-pack

Square Mile Cider picks and hand presses only the best Pacific Northwest grown apples for their hard ciders. The use of more traditional apple varieties in combination with a lager beer yeast produces a very unique, very easy drinking hard cider.

The roots of the company lie in craft brewing, and Square Mile has applied that expertise to its hopped product, Spur & Vine, made with generous amounts of Galaxy hops added during cold conditioning. This hop addition lends flavors and aromas of peach, melon, and honeysuckle, to the cider, with none of the traditional hop bitterness.

The new package offerings, along with 22-ounce bottles and 1/6 BBLs, will be available in the expanded distribution areas by mid-October. To find out where Square Mile is available in your location, please visit the newly launched cider locator at www.squaremilecider.com/locate.
