Atwater Brewery To Add Production Facility In Texas

Some great Atwater news from MittenBrew:

Atwater is also looking to make Corktown its hub for bottling and canning. Rieth is part owner of Brew Detroit, which has plans of opening a contract facility in Corktown. The 100-barrel brew house is scheduled to open in November, and with Rieth being part owner, Atwater is going to have a big roll.

“Though we’re first making sure we supply to our local demand we’re hoping that other states can welcome Atwater into their local beer chain,” said Rieth. “We have plans of launching a production facility in Texas next month. Though we will take a bit of Detroit with us we hope to create a local brand in that area as well.”

By 2015, Atwater’s estimated production is 75 to 100,000 barrels, if all goes according to plan — and there’s a much bigger plan they’re not quite ready to release just yet.
