From Twisted Pine:

Boulder, Colorado – August 1st 2013/mbb/ – By popular demand, the third installment in Twisted Pine Brewing Company’s lauded Farm to Foam series is the same as the first.  Roots Revival, first released last summer in very limited quantities, has been reprised just in time for national IPA Day on August 1st

Launched last year, the Farm to Foam series features beers that rely solely on Colorado-grown ingredients.  Billed as “a tribute to the sustainable spirit of Colorado,” the series allows Twisted Pine’s brewers the opportunity to utilize “not only locally grown grain and hops, but fruits, roots, seeds and vegetables that spring from Colorado soil as well.”

Roots Revival is an American-style India Pale Ale brewed with barley and wheat grown in Alamosa, Cascade hops from Paonia, Crystalhops from Montrose and organic carrots harvested only twelve miles from the brewery.  The aroma starts with salient citrus hop notes, testament to the dry-hopping process, and follows up with a whiff of malted sweetness and a subtle whisper of carrot.  Fresh, resinous hops proceed from fragrance to flavor and serve to punctuate the earthy character of grain and carrots.  The beer finishes dry and crisp on the palate with the slightest hint of lingering bitterness.  At 7% ABV and 47 IBU, Roots makes a charming companion for summer sipping sessions.

Twisted Pine will release Roots Revival in-house on August 1st as part of their IPA Day celebration and the beer will be available on shelves and at select bars and restaurants throughout the brewery’s distribution network the following week.  For more information, check out
